Adult Confirmation is for adult Catholics 18 years and older who have never been confirmed but are living a Catholic life. Adults who have been Baptized, and received First Eucharist, should call the parish office and speak with the Director of Faith Formation to discuss their eligibility for Adult Confirmation Preparation. Adult Confirmation is celebrated on Pentecost Sunday.
DISCERN
Set aside time daily to pray about this opportunity to complete your Sacrament of Initiation into the Church. What will receiving this Sacrament of Confirmation mean to you? Why do you long and desire to be confirmed? Complete the Adult Sacrament form to continue to discern if the process is right for you.
CONNECT
Once we receive your form, we will contact you to set up a one-on-one meeting. Our meeting will consist of prayer, discernment, and guidance for the next steps.
PREPARE
Call the Church where you were baptized and obtain a current copy of your baptismal certificate. The baptismal certificate must be dated within the last six months
REFLECT
Take some time to pray. about who will accompany you on this journey. Each Confirmation candidate must choose a Confirmation sponsor. Sponsors must be at least 16 years of age and a fully initiated Catholic in good standing who practices his/her faith. If you do not have a sponsor, St. Angela will help provide a sponsor who would be honored to accompany you.
Please contact Amee France, Director of Adult Faith Formation and Evangelization, regarding details for the next adult confirmation sessions.
