Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful public statement against abortion. It began in California over 20 years ago and in 2019 there were approximately 2,000 Life Chains across the U.S. and Canada. Participants stand along a road with signs that proclaim “Abortion Kills Children”, “Abortion Hurts Women”, “Jesus Heals and Forgives”, ”Adoption a Loving Option”, “Pregnant? Need Help? 800-712-HELP” and a few other messages.
In 2015, 1,272 children were aborted by residents of Fort Bend County and 14,311 abortions performed in Harris County. All those women – our neighbors, friends, co-workers - were deeply wounded. Those who have aborted in the past, those who are tempted, as well as those close to them, near to hear these messages.
Tables will be available after Masses on October 17 for sign-ups.
The event will be held Sunday, Oct 24, from 2:00 - 3:30 PM.
