Mass Captains perform logistical tasks that assist in the flow of the Mass. Captains have previously served as an usher and have a good knowledge of the church facility as well as the needs of all liturgical ministries serving at Mass.
Mass Captains arrive thirty minutes prior to Mass to make sure everything is in order. They also ensure that all liturgical volunteers have checked in and supervise the
ushers/greeters and the collection. The Mass Captains are the point person for all entering our parish, directing visitors to confession or restrooms, and answering questions concerning our Parish and how to become a member. They should serve as lead in fire or medical emergencies. They are last to leave the church ensuring the lights are off and the church is secure.
