Is there any one among us who would not welcome some rest? Most of us feel we labor unceasingly, whether it is at work, carting our children from one activity to another, caring for our aging parents, meeting unforgiving deadlines and expectations. We are burdened by bills, the reality or fear of illness, and most of all by our lack of control in virtually every aspect of our life, especially those parts we care about most. So, what keeps us from turning to Jesus who in today’s Gospel beckons us with “Come...and I will give you rest?”
