Saint Angela Merici’s Office of Faith Formation invites our parishioners to exercise on the pillars of Lent:
Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving.
The Lenten Season is one of the most important seasons in the Christian faith. It is a period of 40 days, starting with Ash Wednesday and ending with Easter Sunday. During this period, Christians around the world participate in a season of prayers, fasting and almsgiving, just as Jesus did when he spent 40 days in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-25 and Luke 4:1-13).
To help us live Lent in a spirit of penitence and self-giving, St. Angela Merici Catholic Church has invited Fr. Zachary, missionary for the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity to lead our Lenten Mission: March 14-18, 2020. To advance the mission, Fr. Zachary is sharing with us a guide of ‘true fasting’. He is encouraging the faithful to fast not only on food but also on attitudes and to feast at the same time we fast.
Disciplines of True Fasting - Try to practice one of these each day of Lent.

Fr. Zachary leads Catholics to live their baptismal promises by responding to the universal call to holiness. He had formerly served as the General Lay Servant of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity and the worldwide community.
A Parish Mission is special time in a parish community when the community gathers together to gain further insight into a faith filled life. It is a time for grace and renewal of the parish through the Mass, Sacraments and talks filled with stories, examples and meaning. A Parish Mission Renewal offers the community a retreat experience at a local level over the course of 3 evenings of talks.
