The Church has always venerated the divine Scriptures as she venerated the body of the Lord; both nourish and govern the whole Christian life. (Catechism of the Catholic Church: 141)
There is a holy, organic relationship between the liturgical cycle and our spiritual sustenance and growth. St. Angela’s offers two lectionary-based scripture reflection groups that afford the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the gift of that relationship, not only through the specific “lesson” of the week, but also through our gathering and mutual sharing.
